كيف يمكننا أن نُؤرشف في مواجهة الإبادة الجماعية والاحتلال والاستعمار في غزة وفي سائر أنحاء فلسطين، وفي لبنان المجاور، من دون الوقوع في فخاخ الشعور بذنب الرجل الأبيض الغربي أو النزعة الأبوية المتعالية؟
كيف يمكن إشراك المجتمعات المستعمَرة والمحاصَرة في إنتاج المعرفة وممارسات صون التراث، من أجل بلورة ممارسة أرشيفية مضادة للاستعمار، كما اقترحتها غدار وكاسويل (2019)؟ وما السُبل البديلة التي تتيح حماية الأرشيفات وصون التراث دون انتزاعها من مجتمعاتها الأصلية ومن السيطرة المحلية عليها؟

معرض يوثّق الإبادة الجماعية في غزة والحرب على لبنان

وفّرت المنصات الرقمية، لا سيما وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، فضاءات جديدة للمجتمعات المقهورة والمستهدفة لتوثيق ممارسات العنف الاستعماري والإبادة الجماعية المستمرة التي تمارسها سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في غزة والضفة الغربية والممارسات الحربية ضد لبنان. يقدم هذا المعرض مجموعة مختارة من الشهادات الميدانية، والبيانات الموثقة، والتقارير الإعلامية، والمواد البصرية، من غزة وسائر فلسطين، وكذلك من جنوب لبنان، منذ 7 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2023.

سيُقام المعرض مكتبة السبيل-الباشورة من 10 حتى 14 حزيران الحالي، من ضمن فعاليات إحياء الأسبوع العالمي للأرشيف. وهو يطمح لأن يكون مساحة للتأمل والمواجهة، وعملاً من أعمال المقاومة الأرشيفية المستندة إلى أهلية المجتمعات المحلية وحقها في رواية تاريخها وصون ذاكرتها والدفاع عنها.ا

How can we archive against genocide, occupation, and colonialism in Gaza, across Palestine, and in neighboring Lebanon—while avoiding the pitfalls of white guilt and paternalistic benevolence? How can colonized and besieged populations be centered in knowledge production and heritage practices to articulate a robust decolonial archival praxis, as envisioned by Ghaddar and Caswell (2019)? What alternative models can we develop to safeguard and preserve archives and heritage without displacing them from their source communities and local control?

These questions lie at the heart of the Fighting Erasure Initiative, and in that spirit, we are honored to invite you to An exhibition documenting the Genocide in Gaza and the War on Lebanon.

Online platforms, especially social media, have provided unprecedented avenues for oppressed and besieged communities to document and disseminate the reality of Israeli colonial violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. This exhibition features curated selections of eyewitness testimonies, verified data, media reports, and visual materials from Gaza and across Palestine, as well as South Lebanon, beginning from October 7, 2023.

Celebrating the International Archives Week, this exhibition will be held at Assabil Bashoura Library from June 10 to June 14. It aims to serve not only as a space for witnessing and reflection, but also as an act of resistance through documentation, rooted in the agency of local communities and their right to narrate, preserve, and protect their histories.
